Juliana Barrera, RPhT, CPhT | Clinic Director

Juliana found her passion for Alzheimer’s disease early in her youth, which led to her dedicating a lot of her time to community service in nursing homes during high school. She later graduated with her Certified Nursing Assistant License and Patient Care Technician Certification. She went on to work in a nursing home where she specialized in the Alzheimer’s unit and has also worked in private care. Wanting to further her career and her love in the health field, she decided to go back to school in 2012. As a result, she obtained a license as a Pharmacy Technician and certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. She also has retail and hospital experience and currently holds over eight years in research experience in the Pharmacy Department in all phases of clinical trials and over 20 therapeutic areas. She has assisted and gained various experience in different departments and believes there is still a lot to learn about Alzheimer’s. She is determined to make a difference through research.

Outside of work, Juliana can be found spending time with her husband and their four children. She also dedicates a lot of her time outside work to her company, “El Design Room,” where she makes custom cups, signs, stickers, and anything else you could dream of!
